Recreation & Attractions

Whether you are a resident of the area or a visitor to the community, the City of Flora has many different types of attractions to visit.  The City is proud to have six city public tennis courts, skate park and lighted basketball court all adjacent to our local Flora Rotary Park on East North Avenue.  Other outdoor activities include our nine-hole par 35 golf course and 58 par Disc Golf Course, opened in 2019, both located in Charley Brown Memorial Park

Flora is also excited to be able to offer residents and visitors Flora Bowl Bowling Alley located at 927 W. North Avenue on the west side of the community.  Not only is bowling available to individuals and families, Flora Bowl can also accommodate groups for reunions, birthday parties, work outings or other events.  We also have two workout facilities, both offering 24 hour access, "Doc's Gym", located at 19 Greenlaw Blvd., and located in the heart of downtown at 112 W. North Avenue, "The Gym".

For those looking for some history, please check out the historic Flora B&O Depot located at 223 W. Railroad St.  Here you can learn about the history of our City, take a look at the Train Museum and view our Memorial of George Rogers Clark, a hero of the American Revolutionary War.  You may also be interested in the Flora Veterans Memorial located in front of the Flora Public Library at 216 N. Main St.
