City of Flora Utilities
The City of Flora offers its residents gas, electric, water, sewer, and trash removal services. Each service requires a meter deposit. For homeowners, the deposit is $250 for all utilities - $100 each for electric and gas and $50 for water. For renters, a rental inspection is required and conducted by the City Building Inspector, with a meter deposit of $375, or $125 per utility. Commercial customers can obtain utility services with a $375 deposit.
Trash removal service is $18.61 per month, for each residential customer residing within the city limits. Residential customers residing outside the corporate limits may have trash removal for $22.21 per month. The City of Flora has a contract with Republic Services, which offers residents a curbside pickup one day per week. Commercial customers have several options available. They can choose between several sizes of dumpsters and can have pickup from daily to once a week. Please check with City Hall for the rates. During the Holiday schedule, trash pickup will be one day later than the normal pickup. The Holiday schedule is Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
